Opportunities to Serve Altar Guild This group attends to the care of the altar, prepares and cares for the sacramental elements and vessels, and helps in the seasonal decoration of the church. Benevolence (Thrivent) This group gathers monthly to plan Christian service projects and to consider, plan, and distribute fraternal grant money and other resources from Thrivent Financial for Lutherans. Choirs The adult choir meets and practices on most Wednesday evenings to prepare musical selections for our worship services. The youth also contribute their talents through song on various occasions. Church Council These elected officers meet monthly to attend to the auxiliary affairs of the congregation, such as assimilation, communications, education, evangelism, fellowship/welfare, preschool, stewardship, trustees, and youth/singles. Elders These elected men assist the Pastor in attending to the spiritual needs of the congregation and her members. Garden Club These individuals volunteer their time and talent to beautify our grounds. Greeters These individuals greet members and visitors as they arrive for worship. Ushers These individuals distribute bulletins and assist with collecting the offering and directing the congregation during the distribution of the Lord's Supper. Teachers and Teachers Aids The teachers and volunteers involved with our Sunday School, VBS, and Youth programs assist our youngsters in increasing their knowledge and understanding of God's Word and promises. |
