A Home for Confessional Lutheran Study in Northern Illinois
NICL (Northern Illinois Confessional Lutherans) is dedicated to the study of the Word of God and the Lutheran Confessions as they have been delivered to us in the Old and New Testaments and the Book of Concord of 1580.
To the end that we may seek the honor and glory of God, carry out His will, manifest the unity of our faith in Christ Jesus as God and Savior, make a faithful confession of the Gospel of Christ Jesus as it is set forth in the Lutheran Confessions, and foster Christian fellowship and love within Northern Illinois and our Synod, we endeavor...
-
1. to study the theology of Scripture and the Lutheran Confessions to promote continued fidelity to them in The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod;
-
2. to address publicly current doctrinal issues in our District and in our Synod;
-
3. to provide an avenue for speaking with a united voice on doctrine and on practice;
-
4. to provide an avenue for the dissemination of information;
-
5. to provide occasional seminars and conferences for the general membership of our District;
-
6. to identify and communicate with other groups which share our confessional basis and goals.
